Our tooling department has 40 employees working on the very latest CNC machines. These are capable of producing even the most complex injection moulding tools with weights up to 5,000 kg. In the areas of CNC milling and CNC erosion, we run a flexible two-shift operation in order to reduce delivery times and maximise machine utilisation. Tool design and manufacturing are conducted using the very latest CAD/CAM technology. And we train most of the specialists required for these activities in-house. For this reason, training and ongoing instruction count among the top priorities at Gebr. Schwarz. All our tool designs are created in the 3D environment and it is these that form the basis for our modern, flexible machining capability. Our designers link up with external design offices in order to be able to offer you a wide range of CAD/CAM systems to suit your needs. The moulding tool manufacturing capability covers the following:           • moulds up to a size of 1,000 x 1,000 x 1,000 mm (5 t)           • high-grade series-produced moulding tools for high batch outputs           • cost-efficient moulding tools for pilot series and small batches Before they leave the manufacturing department, these tools are tested to ensure their functional integrity on our mould try-out press. Because - for us - a good injection moulding tool is the key to good, high-quality plastics components. Cost transparency and on-schedule delivery are ensured by our computer-aided management system in which each operation is individually recorded and evaluated.
