History and tradition
Since 1966, Gebr. Schwarz GmbH of Rottweil-Neukirch, Germany, has
been creating a name for itself as a national and international partner
for high-precision and innovative system solutions in injection moulding
technology.
1966 Company founded in Neukirch at the
site of today’s Factory 1 – by the two brothers
Felix and Gebhard Schwarz. The first orders came in from the radio
and television
engineering sector and the meter manufacturing industry.
1975 Start of production of plastic studs
for football boots. The technology was further developed
and automated so that, in the final phase, up to 100,000 studs per
day were
being manufactured.
1976 Shoe sole production for numerous
renowned sport and jogging shoe manufacturers.
The fully developed technology included the three-colour technique
with metal inserts.
1980 Chassis production for a wide range
of different household appliances.
1984 Entry into 3D CAD and CAM technology.
1985 As a result of the patent covering
single-sheet feeder technology in printers granted
to Helmut Steinhilber of Rottweil (from the company BDT), Gebr. Schwarz
were given the opportunity of early entry into this promising office
products
segment. Gebr. Schwarz specialised in gear and transmission component
production for innumerable printer adapters. This application demanded
extremely high dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength as well
as optimised tribological properties.
1991 First metal substitutes in medical
engineering through the development of endoscope
manipulation components in multi-autoclavable plastics.
1992 Entry into the IT sector via Hewlett-Packard
and development of module assembly
technology.
1994 First certification to ISO 9001
1999 Factory 2 comes on stream
Advanced
injection moulding machine pool, assembly lines, high-end logistics
systems
and ultra-short-path series production.
2001 Complete hand-over of business by
the senior partners, Felix and Gebhard Schwarz,
to the junior partners Heinz Mutschler and Uwe Schwarz.
2002 Quality management system: Certification
to ISO/TS 16949
Environmental
management system: Certification to DIN EN ISO 14001
UL Certificate:
QMMY 2.E231945

basis from a wide range of different industries –
e.g. automotive, communications & IT, instrumentation and
electrical engineering, consumer goods industry, medical
and laboratory engineering, etc.
2004
Extension of the assembly capabilities with ESD protected area and integration of supply chain management. 1st fully automatic manufacturing facility of high complex projects: Injection molding, assembly, packaging (all in one)
2007
Installation of a laser printing systems for optical part imprints, fully integrated into the injection molding process. The laser printer is connected to the BDE data base to ensure 100% part traceability up to the level of manufacturing parameters.
Extension of the manufacturing capability with an additional 13.000 KN injection molding machine, to produce complex plastic parts up to weight of 6Kg.
2008
Take over of all business shares by general manager and shareholder Uwe Schwarz.
Founding the daughter company „Schwarz Schmidt Tooling GmbH“. SST key business is tool sourcing on the international China marked. The existing and experienced project management structure of Gebrüder Schwarz GmbH is adapted to SS, to support and implement customer requirements in the early tooling phase.
2009
Patent application: Process to manufacture rotational bodies with integrated balancing feature.
2010
Innovation and new technologies
Development and integration of the IMD (Inmold Decoration) technology for particular chemical resistance applications and devices in the medical industry.
2011
Plant consolidation
The tool shop moved into a new 900m² building direct connected to the serial production plant in Rottweil Neukirch. Additionally a new logistics building, with a capacity of 2.800 m² and 6.000 storage places was completed in 2011.
